Next: the Coomer Cup, Oct. 28
The KGA's 2026 schedule lists one event after this one: the Coomer Cup, Oct. 28 at The Club at Olde Stone in Bowling Green, by invitation. The Coomer Cup is the annual Ryder Cup-style match between Kentucky Golf Association amateurs and Kentucky PGA professionals. It was called the Challenge Cup until 2022, when it was renamed for Bill Coomer, PGA, who retired after 26 years running amateur and professional competitions for Golf House Kentucky. Last year, on Sept. 16, 2025, at Valhalla, the teams finished tied over 27 holes, and the KGA kept the Cup as the defending champion.

The Kentucky Golf Foundation's 2026 Distinguished Service Award recipients, Jeff Conley and Missy Gahm Kremer, will be honored at the Kentucky Golf Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Nov. 19 at Wildwood Country Club, the foundation says.
