An all-Kentucky pairing on Sunday

The field

Seven of the 14 teams are ranked in the season's first Clippd Scoreboard rankings, released Oct. 14: No. 2 Auburn, No. 10 Florida, No. 11 Notre Dame, No. 13 Vanderbilt, No. 16 North Carolina, No. 18 Oklahoma and No. 23 Arizona State. Augusta, Kentucky, Louisville, NC State, North Florida, UNLV and Utah complete the field.

Oklahoma's Ryder Cowan, No. 1 in Clippd's individual rankings, plays in the Sooners' top spot. He tied for 27th here a year ago. Vanderbilt's Carlos Astiazaran, who shared medalist honors at the Cullan Brown in Lexington, is also in the field.

Florida is the defending champion. The Gators led from start to finish last year and won by 12 shots over Texas at 15-under. Notre Dame's Nate Stevens took the individual title at 7-under 209 (70-67-72). North Carolina won each of the first four Williams Cups, and the Tar Heels' David Ford is the only player to win it twice (2023 and 2024). Carolina's Ethan Paschal comes in off a third-place finish at the Elon Phoenix Invitational, where he closed with back-to-back 63s.

How to follow

UK Athletics links to the Clippd Scoreboard leaderboard for scores. Results for all three rounds were posted Sunday, Monday and Tuesday afternoons. Tee times for the second and third rounds are set from the standings after each day.
